BUS BUILDING!

(The Poetry Bus Team head for the hills!)

Ok world, thanks a million to everyone who supported our SUCCESSFUL fundit.ie appeal.

We met our target and the monies have now been released. All I have to do now is build The Bus!! I'm starting with the heart, the engine and working my way out to the body work. This is the hardest bit for me, I have the money, I have all the poems, the artwork, all the ingredients, but now I must bake the cake!I have cloned myself into a (confusingly unidentical) Bus production team (see photo above)

There will be much weeping, wailing, swearing and pulling out of hair and teeth as I (we) set to the task in a lonely shed in THe Wicklow Hills. Strange noises will be heard in the dead of night, much drink will be consumed, sleep neglected, strange poetry gods invoked and many packets of Tayto consumed.

We will emerge deranged and dishevelled in early August blinking into the hazy sunlight with a magnificent beast of a magazine that will strike hope and terror in equal measure to the poetry world! Mwahahahahaha!!

Get thee ready people, behold the poetry bus cometh (sooneth)

  1. That's gnashing of teeth, and I'm sure we're all much more civilized that that here.

  11. I just put together a new poetry manuscript, and I sympathize with the agony of pacing. With the right line-up, the thing takes on a life. Cheers!
